My Soul Path
I Bow to the Goddess Within You
Every soul is already walking a spiritual path. Some know it; some are still remembering. From the tender age of three, spirituality became part of my life. My mother was my first Guru—the loving hand that introduced me to the sacred traditions of Bhārata and planted within me a lifelong reverence for the wisdom of our ancestors. Over the years, that seed grew into a deep immersion in Vedānta, Sanskrit, Yoga, Mantra, Yantra and Tantra. For me, these were never merely subjects to be studied; they became ways of understanding life, consciousness, suffering, purpose and, ultimately, the Self.
“I desire neither kingdom, nor heaven, nor even liberation—mokṣa. I have only one desire: to help relieve the suffering of living beings.” — Rome
This remains at the heart of everything I do. My spiritual journey was transformed further through a profound near-death experience—an encounter with surrender that changed the way I understood life. It deepened my awareness that beneath our different stories, identities and circumstances, there is something sacred connecting all living beings. It also strengthened my conviction that spirituality is not an escape from life. I do not believe that we must reject the material world in order to discover the spiritual one. We are here to live—to love, create, experience, succeed, stumble, learn and, through it all, awaken.
My teachings therefore bring the ancient wisdom of the Vedic and Tantric traditions into contemporary life. They speak to people from many cultures, including those approaching Indian spiritual philosophy through a Western lens. The material and spiritual need not stand in opposition. We can participate fully in the world while becoming increasingly conscious of the one who is experiencing it. Spirituality, to me, is not about withdrawing from life; it is about living life with greater awareness, wisdom, compassion and purpose.
Perhaps you have reached a point where something within you is asking for more. You may appear successful, capable and complete on the outside, yet quietly sense that another dimension of life is waiting to be discovered. Sometimes this appears as restlessness, sometimes as a life transition, sometimes through suffering, and sometimes simply as an inexplicable call to go within. This may be the beginning of awakening.
Even the most intelligent person cannot see in darkness without light. In the same way, our sacred traditions have always recognised the importance of guidance on the inner journey. The Guru does not create your truth, nor walk your path for you. The Guru is like a lamp—illuminating what was already there so that you may recognise the path for yourself. I see my role in this spirit: not to ask you to become someone else, but to help you move closer to your own awareness, wisdom and inner strength.
Whether you are taking your first step or have travelled this path for many years, you are welcome. I believe every person deserves the possibility of a new beginning—a moment to pause, reassess, reconnect and discover life from a deeper perspective. With love and compassion as our guiding lights, we can honour our individual journeys while recognising the deeper unity that connects us.
Rome’s Wellness was born from this philosophy. It is more than a retreat centre; it is a sanctuary where you can step away from the noise and speed of modern life and create space for something increasingly rare—stillness. Here, we nurture the whole person—body, mind and inner being—through personalised guidance, Yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, nourishing food, nature, conscious living and the timeless wisdom of India.
When you enter this sanctuary, you are not simply participating in a program. You are entering an experience—an opportunity to breathe more deeply, rest more completely, quieten the mind, reconnect with your body and explore the inner dimensions of your being. There is space to rest, space to question, space to listen and space to remember what may have become hidden beneath responsibilities, expectations and the constant movement of everyday life.
My wish is that you leave not dependent upon a retreat, a teacher or a technique, but more deeply connected with yourself—carrying practices, understanding and awareness into the life waiting for you beyond these walls. Whether you are seeking deeper spiritual understanding, greater harmony within yourself, renewed purpose or simply a more conscious and meaningful way of living, I invite you to experience this journey.
Ultimately, the spiritual journey is not about escaping life. It is about awakening to it. Come as you are. Come to rest, rediscover and awaken. Perhaps somewhere within that stillness, you will encounter something that was never truly absent—the light of your own Self.
Brahmāstu! Let us meet in that sacred space where the journey inward begins, the soul evolves, and the Divine Shakti within awakens. I bow to that Divine Shakti in you.
