Things to Follow

Welcome to My World

The first three days are usually a time to settle in, slow down and become familiar with a different rhythm of living. Your body and mind may need a little time to adjust to new surroundings, food, practices and routines. There is no need to rush or expect immediate changes. Allow yourself the freedom to experience each day as it unfolds.
For me, a retreat is not merely about learning something new. It is equally about reflecting, unlearning, rediscovering, reconnecting and sometimes simply enjoying the art of being. It is an opportunity to step away from familiar patterns, observe life from a different perspective and return to yourself with renewed understanding.
A Gentle Guide to Our Retreat
The guidelines below are not intended to make your stay restrictive. They simply help us preserve the peaceful atmosphere, mutual respect and mindful way of living that make Rome’s World special.

1. Your Daily Rhythm
Each retreat follows a thoughtfully planned schedule suited to your individual journey. We encourage you to attend sessions punctually, as every activity contributes to the overall experience. If you miss a session due to unavoidable circumstances, please speak with us about the learning material. Occasionally, schedules may be adjusted to accommodate individual needs or practical considerations, and we will keep you informed.

2. The Beauty of Silence
Silence is a treasured part of life here. We invite you to enjoy quiet moments, particularly during meditation, rituals, personal reflection and designated silent hours. Conversations, questions and discussions are always welcome at appropriate times, while respecting the concentration and personal space of others.

3. A Sāttvic Way of Living
During your stay, we invite you to experience the simplicity of Sāttvic living through mindful food, balanced routines, appropriate clothing, personal cleanliness and respectful conduct. To maintain the retreat's intended environment, alcohol, recreational drugs, intoxicants and sexual activity are not permitted. Prescribed medications should be continued according to medical advice and disclosed where relevant to your care.

4. Listening to Your Body
Every body is different, and every journey deserves care. Please share relevant medical history, medications, allergies, injuries or physical limitations before beginning your retreat. This allows us to adapt activities where appropriate. During Yoga, breathwork and other practices, we encourage you to listen to your body, rest when needed and never force yourself beyond your comfort or capacity. You are always welcome to pause or decline a practice.

5. Respecting Knowledge & Sacred Traditions
Our books, manuscripts, scriptures, learning materials and ritual objects carry the knowledge and dedication of many generations. We request that you handle them with care and respect. Questions and thoughtful exploration are encouraged, while advanced or specialised practices should only be undertaken with appropriate guidance.

6. Photography & Digital Mindfulness
There will be many beautiful moments you may wish to capture. We simply request that you seek permission before taking photographs, videos or audio recordings, particularly during spiritual practices or when other guests are present. We also encourage you to reduce unnecessary digital distractions and enjoy the rare opportunity to be fully present.

7. Your Personal Space & Belongings
Please take care of your personal belongings and help us maintain clean, comfortable and peaceful living spaces. Treating our surroundings with the same care we give our own home helps create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

8. Visitors & Evening Travel
To preserve privacy, security and the peaceful retreat environment, outside visitors are not permitted without prior approval. We also request that guests remain within the retreat premises after 6:00 PM unless prior arrangements have been made. Please inform us of any essential travel needs or emergencies so that we can assist appropriately.

9. Living Gently with Nature
Nature is an important part of our retreat experience. We encourage mindful use of water, electricity and other resources. Small acts of conservation, cleanliness and gratitude allow us to live more harmoniously with the environment.

10. Your Comfort Matters
Your physical and emotional comfort are important to us. If something feels uncomfortable, overwhelming, confusing or unsuitable, please communicate openly. We will gladly listen and explore appropriate adjustments. Your retreat should be a space where you feel respected, supported and free to express your needs.

11. Retreat Bookings & Commitments
As accommodation, learning sessions and individual arrangements are reserved specifically for you, we encourage careful consideration before confirming your retreat. Once the retreat begins, unused days are generally not eligible for cancellation, postponement or carry-forward, subject to the agreed booking terms and applicable law. Exceptional circumstances may be discussed individually.

12. Learning with Humility
Spiritual understanding is a lifelong journey. There is no competition here, no pressure to demonstrate achievement and no expectation that everyone must follow the same path. We encourage sincerity, patience, curiosity, compassion and respect for different levels of understanding.

13. Our Animal Friends & Your Safety
Our natural surroundings may be home to animals and birds. While we deeply respect their presence, we request that guests do not approach, touch, feed or interact with animals during their stay. This is for your safety and the well-being of the animals. Please enjoy observing nature from a respectful distance.

14. Tea, Coffee & Mindful Nourishment
Food and beverages are an important part of the retreat's Sāttvic routine. We follow a caffeine-free approach, so tea, coffee, energy drinks and other stimulant beverages are not included or permitted during the retreat. Instead, we offer selected caffeine-free herbal infusions and Ayurvedic-inspired beverages as part of your daily nourishment. Please let us know beforehand if you have dietary or medical requirements so that suitable arrangements can be considered.

A Few Words from My Heart
We have created this space not to tell you how to live, but to share what I have learned, experienced and understood along my own journey. I do not believe that wisdom belongs to one person, one tradition or one way of thinking. Life itself is a wonderful teacher, and each of us has something meaningful to discover and share.
You may arrive here seeking knowledge, clarity, healing, discipline, spiritual understanding or simply a little quietness away from the demands of everyday life. Whatever brings you here, I hope you will give yourself permission to experience the journey without unnecessary expectations.
Some days you may learn something profound. Some days you may question an old belief. Some days you may find joy in the smallest things—a peaceful morning, the fragrance of nature, a meaningful conversation or a moment of silence.
There is no need to become someone else. Perhaps the most beautiful part of this journey is discovering yourself a little more deeply. I hope you leave Rome’s World carrying not only new knowledge, but also a greater appreciation for life, a clearer understanding of yourself and a sense of peace that remains with you long after your retreat.
Come as you are. Learn at your own pace. Reflect without judgement. Live with awareness. Carry forward what brings meaning to your life.
With warmth, peace and blessings,
Rome
